Apple seem to have had a bite taken out of them with all the bad publicity about the reception problems encountered by some iPhone 4 users.

In contrast to the triumphant press launch last month in which Steve Jobs stood up on stage and proclaimed the iPhone 4 to “Change Everything”, Apple are assembling the press again later today to explain how they intend to address the problems.

Yes, the iPhone 4 is changing everything – mostly Apple’s reputation!

So you pay £229 for your iPhone and sign up for at least an eighteen month contract costing £35 per month and then find that the poor reception drops some of your calls now and again.

What’s the answer? Well duct tape seems to do well. Merely wrap the tape around your expensive and highly designed iPhone and there you go – the problem goes away.

So does your street credibility that you have just expensively built up by already owning a highly desirable item that is in such short supply.

Alternatively you can buy a “bumper” cover from Apple for £25, which seems to sort out the reception issues, or better still the iPhone InvisibleShield provides better protection for £14.99.
