All the hype around the iPhone 4 seems excessive, until you realise that it seems to be a very high quality product that takes smartphone technology one step further than anything else on the market. There is one problem though. Do reception problems mean that you can you actually use it as a phone?

Apple have worked hard to improve some of the issues that iPhone 3 users had with poor reception, and decided to build the phone and WiFi antennas into the case of the iPhone 4. They are the metal bands on either side of the phones body – WiFi on one side, the phone antenna on the other.

That sounds like a sensible solution, and obviously worked in development tests and pre launch user trials. It seems, though, that a significant number of users are finding that the signal drops when they actually hold the phone, presumably because the hand is interfering with the antenna.

Oops! If this is really prevalent then Apple have a major problem on their hands. We have compiled a great iPhone 4 price comparison page on Moneyhighstreet.com, but if this is actually as big an issue as it seems to be then it might be best to wait a while before investing in this new product.
